Daniel M. “Dan” Pumper died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home in Lonsdale, Minn., on July 10, 2023. He was 59. Dan was born on Jan. 14, 1964, in Northfield, Minn. He served in the U.S. Marines after graduating from Northfield High School. Dan also served in the Minnesota National Guard. He lived in Lonsdale for most of his adult life. He retired from Menasha Corporation in 2022.
He is survived by his siblings Laurie (Michael J. McIntee), Sally Fales (Jeff), Amy, Terry (Rose), William, John, Marni, Edward, and Kari Pumper, and by many nieces & nephews, cousins, by uncles Jim and Paul Wagner and by aunts Beverly Shellenbarger (Bob) and Audrey Darling. Preceded in death by parents Marvin and Julitta Pumper and by aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be 5–8 p.m. on Aug. 8 at White Funeral Home in Lonsdale (private burial). A celebration of life will be held 2–5 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Forest Town Hall, Millersburg, Minn. Memorials may go to Semper Fi & America’s Fund or the American Heart Association.
