JoAnn L. Meinke, age 90, of Northfield and formerly of Webster died on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Three Links Care Center, Northfield.
Private graveside services will be held for the family at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Webster.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
JoAnn L., the daughter of Joseph and Lillian (Thompson) Docken was born on June 26, 1933, in Northfield. She graduated from Northfield High School and later was employed as a telephone operator. JoAnn married Richard P. Meinke on March 20, 1954, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2000. She was known for chocolate chip cookies and her Sunday dinners. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Tom (and Cherie) Meinke of Webster, Susan (and Dale) Kulsrud of Northfield and Lisa (and Dave) Klehr of Faribault; two granddaughters, Sonya Busch and Angela (and Micah) Humann all of Northfield; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Anderson, Dominic, Veda and Hayes Humann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Sandra Meinke; her parents; three siblings, Nordis (and Walbert) Meinke, Joseph (and Lorna) Docken and Jerome Docken.
