Campers weather StarStruck Storm

StarStruck Performing Arts Camp marks seven years this summer of offering fun and an assortment of the arts to children and teens. This week at New Prague Middle School, 80 campers ranging in age from 5 to 16 are participating in StarStruck Storm. They are learning songs and dances and are creating art that have to do with the weather. The campers will show off what they learned on Friday, July 13, with a free performance at 1:30 p.m. in the middle school’s auditorium.

"We always have a good group of kids. They really enjoy being here," said Allie Meyer, one of the theatre instructors for StarStruck. She is an original member of the team from when it began and has been involved with all 21 productions of the program. Like many of the instructors at the camp she is either a teacher or pursuing a degree in teaching or the arts.
