Carol Ann (nee Schoenbauer) McDonald, 77

Carol Ann (nee Schoenbauer) McDonald , age 77, died May 11, 2018, at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, of a rare cancer that she accepted with inspiring grace. 

She grew up in this area and attended St. Wenceslaus school and Bethlehem Academy and graduated from Mankato State University.

Her parents were William and Walburga Schoenbauer. She was predeceased by her parents , brothers Andrew, Melvin, and Wallace, and infants Billy, Helen, and Mary Ann. She is survived by her husband John, brothers Ralph, Gilbert (Shirley), Jerry (Pat), sisters Mildred Dehlinger (Richard), Lillie Gravlin, and Shirley Schwisow (Howard).

Carol was an exceptional teacher, especially of Reading and Catechism, teaching at Holy Redeemer in Montgomery, 5 years at St. Bridget’s and at St. Bernard’s for 24 years. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Church, 650 Palace Ave., St. Paul, at 11 A.M. on Thursday May 17.  Visitation will be in church at 9:30 A. M.
