Clarida "Lida" Carlos Pascual, 60

At the young age of 60, our beloved Clarida "Lida" Carlos Pascual peacefully entered God’s kingdom on January 15, 2023, in Rochester, Minnesota, after valiantly battling numerous health issues.  She was a warrior throughout life and fought until the very end. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Lida was born on March 14, 1962, in Marikina, Rizal, Philippines.  She immigrated to the United States at 20 years old and became a U.S. citizen.  When Lida was just 22 years old, she joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

During her time in the Army, she not only earned a rifle marksmanship badge but also met Brian Farber, who she soon married on April 12, 1985.  They went on to have two children, Belinda and Brent.

Lida worked in the finance and banking field for over twenty-two years.  As a civilian, she worked for numerous companies including Peerless Roofing (Honolulu, HI), First Hawaiian Bank (Honolulu, HI), Prior Lake State Bank (Prior Lake, MN), Valley Bank Minnesota (Jordan, MN), State Bank of New Prague (New Prague, MN), Queen of Peace Hospital (New Prague, MN), Premier Bank (Northfield, MN), and Branch Banking & Trust (Falls Church, VA) and worked in several various positions  - anywhere from a secretary to a personal banker and head/vault teller.

But being a mother was the most important job of Lida’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.  Despite her health condition, Lida was an excellent mom - supportive, kind, smart, funny, and devoted.

Lida also loved gardening, crocheting, cooking, playing board and card games, watching action movies, and spending time with her granddaughter, Isabella.  Throughout her entire life, Lida held an unwavering faith in God.

Lida joins her father, Otniel Afable Pascual, in heaven.  She is survived by many loving family members including her mother Clarita, sister, Clariza, brother ,Leonel, sister, Clarina (Terry Petrovich), daughter, Belinda (Dalyn Cody), son, Brent Farber, grandchild Isabella Knish, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on February 19, 2024, at Waikele Country Club in Waipahu, Oahu with reception to follow.  A private committal/burial service will be held at 10 a.m. on February 20, 2024.  Lida’s family welcomes any stories, photos, and memories that colleagues, friends, and family would like to share.

We mourn the loss of Lida and encourage all who knew her to remember the beauty, hope, strength, relentlessness, perseverance, love, and compassion she brought to this world.
