Council discusses technology
The New Prague City Council dealt with technology at its Monday, March 7, meeting. The council unanimously approved TrueNorth Consulting Group to do an IT Risk Assessment, plus the council discussed the possibility of council members having city issued phones or laptops to deal with city business.
City Planning and Community Development Director Ken Ondich presented the two proposals for the IT Risk Assessment project. He explained that the fund of $16,500 comes from the former CARES money. he said the completion of an IT Risk Assessment has been on the city’s “to do” list since the city’s computer IT firm, CTS, completed a network and computer system upgrade for the city in 2020.
