Forest Dale Lehman, 90

Forest Dale Lehman, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4,2020. He was a long time resident of New Prague, MN. He was born June 13, 1929 in Tigerton, WI to Paul & Mary (Prahl) Lehman. He entered the US Air Force after graduating from high school and served for 6 years.  During the time he was stationed in Japan, he met the love of his life, Kura and they married March 18, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan. They eventually ended up living in New Prague on a farm. Forest worked at Roberts Automatic Products as a machinist for 29 years. He then continued doing what he loved most, farming, until retirement.  Forest was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed polka and bluegrass music.  He was a man of faith and an active member of Friedens Lutheran Church.  He was devoted to Kura and cared for her selflessly at home until her death in 2002 of ALS.  His family was the center of his world and he loved nothing more than time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  

 Forest is survived by his children: Sandra Johnson of Lake Mills, IA, Wayne Lehman of Le Sueur,  Larry (Cindy) Lehman of Le Sueur,  Forest Dale Jr (Donna) Lehman of Le Sueur,  Ron (Rena) Lehman of Le Sueur,  Linda (Terry) Jandt of New Prague, Brenda (Will) Rancour of New Prague,  Scott (Sue) Lehman of Lakeville,  Alan (Lisa) Lehman of New Prague, Brian Lehman of New Prague; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Mary) Lehman & Robert (Cheryl) Lehman all of Tigerton, WI; sisters-in-law, Bernice Lehman of Greenfield, WI & Leah Lehman of Tigerton, WI and many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Kura; parents Paul & Mary Lehman; brothers, Wallace, Lester, Victor & Herbert; sisters Elizabeth Miller & Mary Jean Mathes.

 Private family services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2 PM at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Henry Koch officiating.  Visitation for family only will be held from 1-2 PM at church.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the New Prague Area Veterans Honor Guard. bruzekfuneralhome.com
