Heather M. Cotter, 38

Heather M. Cotter, age 38, of New Prague, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 9, 2020.  Heather was born on April 7, 1981, in New Prague to Gregory S. and Sharleen G. (Beuch) Scheffler.  She graduated from New Prague High School and went on to complete courses in cosmetology.  She married the love of her life, Robert N. “Butch” Cotter, Jr. on April 27, 2007 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota.  The couple made their home in New Prague where Heather worked as a bank teller for a number of banks, most recently Roundbank and First Bank and Trust.  She was loved by all, could engage with anybody, and had customers who switched banks in order to follow her.  She was a favorite auntie, who loved to be around children, especially babies.  Heather was an avid reader, loved the North Shore, loved to shop, and enjoyed crafts and social media.  Her radiant smile and gift of gab and hospitality will be missed by all.

 Heather is survived by her loving husband, Butch; parents, Greg & Sharleen Scheffler of New Prague; parents-in-law, Patty Cotter (Steve Kohout) of Prior Lake, Robert & Paula Cotter, Sr. of Maple Grove; sister, Rebecca (Ben) Krenik of Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Nathan Cotter of New Prague, Josh Cotter of Ramsey, Chris (Korri) Hellen of Princeton; grandparents, Ron & Joan Scheffler of New Prague, Virginia Beuch of New Prague; grandparents-in-law, Diane & Bill Werner of Sheboygan, WI; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by grandfather, Herman Beuch; grandfather-in-law, Jim Cotter.

 Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father George Grafsky officiating.  Visitation will occur on Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Lunch will follow Mass at the Park Ballroom. bruzekfuneralhome.com.  Memorials preferred to Duck Cup Memorial Fund.
