High water closing river crossing, trail

In coordination with Carver County, Scott County is closing Scott County Road 9/Carver County Road 11 Friday, April 21, 1 p.m., because of Minnesota River flooding.

The Minnesota River at Jordan:
A bridge closure occurs when the water level reaches 26.7 feet; the forecast for tonight , April 19, is for reaching minor flood stage. It is expected that the river level will hit 26.7 feet at or around 1 a.m. Monday, April 24, and possibly reach 27.6 feet by next Wednesday, April 26.

The Minnesota River at Shakopee:
The hiking/biking trail under the Bloomington Ferry Bridge has been closed due to flooding by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The Minnesota River at Savage:
Scott County Emergency Management is continually monitoring the situation, and will provide updates as needed.
