Judy Dolezal, 96

Judy Dolezal, passed away peacefully on July 31st in Zumbrota, Minnesota at the age of 96. Michelle and Melinda Dolezal were present at their grandmother’s passing. Judy was born to Simon and Dagny (Thorson) Simonson in Campbell, Minnesota on November 19, 1923. Judy’s mother had passed soon after childbirth, of Judy, and her father remarried thereafter and Judy had five half siblings, Wallace, Margerie, Lional, Carol, and Genevieve. She graduated from Morris High School in 1942, and graduated Nursing School in 1948. She married Harry Felix Dolezal, October 16, 1944. Judy and Harry’s marriage was dissolved in 1981, and Judy met Wallace Myhre shortly after, who became her significant other and dance partner. Judy was employed by Seagate as a disk drive assembler until her retirement in 1995. Judy was active in the Edina Gardening Club from 1960 – 1970. Judy was involved in ceramics and had created the vase that she will be buried in. Some of Judy’s special words were always, “I love you more” to her loved ones and never said goodbye, only “so long.” Another special saying was “Make room on the dance floor, Judy is here now…”
She is survived by three sons, Mark “Snuffy” (Jean), James (Lizabeth), and Dan (Melissa); grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Melinda, and Adam; and great-grandchildren, Brayden and Elizabeth.
Gravesite funeral services for immediate family will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, in Hawick, Minnesota.
