Ladies Night Out Supporting local shops with friends

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, approximately 70 shoppers and 11 businesses participated in this year’s Ladies Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Brooke Sticha the Executive Director at the NP Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event, said participation was expected to be down. However, she added that the board felt it was important to continue the popular event, which encourages local and non-local people to support New Prague businesses.

“Covid has brought so many challenges to our small retailers. The support of our local community means the world to them right now, especially for those who’ve been hit with a double whammy with the construction on our Main Street this year and into 2021,” she stated.

This was the third year the Chamber has organized Ladies Night Out. Even though about half of the people participated from last year, the feedback has been positive.

“Based on the feedback we’ve received so far, the event went great! We ended up with half the amount of participating businesses (11) and half the amount of registered shoppers (approx. 70) compared to what we’ve seen in previous years. However registration is not required to support our local businesses. We always have ladies who....
