Marvin Dale Way, 92

Marvin Dale Way born 5/28/1929 in Scott County, Elko New Market, MN and passed away peacefully on 12/20/21 at the age of 92 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague, MN.  Dad enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing bingo, pull tabs, listening to the older country western music and movies, and he also enjoyed watching/listening to the Twins and Vikings games. One could always see him with his cowboy hat on and most likely with a beer in his hand.

He was a member of the VFW and Eagles Club in Northfield.  Later in his life he decided to go back to school to get his high school diploma. He graduated on 11/8/2002 in Farmington, MN.

Marvin was a Corporal in the Army and served in the Korean War from 4/10/1951 to 1/9/1952. He married Rita Moravec 9/11/1954, later divorced 7/16/1974.

Dad had a variety of jobs...self employed auto mechanic, delivering septic tanks, drain fields, and other supplies to farmers. He also worked for Polar Panel in Montgomery, Toro, driver for the DAC (Day Activity Center) for Le Sueur County, backhoe operator, dump truck driver. He thoroughly enjoyed driving truck and hauling until his eyesight no longer allowed him to.

He is survived by his son: Craig (Deb) Way and their children, Jenny Svien, & Kim Bruzek; daughter: Cathy Bintz and her children Jason Trnka, Ian Tolzman, Ryan Tolzman, and Kevin Bintz, daughter: Carleen (Al) Sevcik and their children, Chad Sevcik & Matt Sevcik, daughter: Cindy Flicek and her child, Jocelyn Flicek; and son, Chuck Way (fiancée Penny Viskocil) and his children, Laura Way, Amanda Way, and Rachel Way,  also by 19 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father: LeRoy Way, mother: Amelia Way, sister: Betty Goetsch, son-in-law: Gary Flicek.
