Betty Schwartz, 98

Betty Schwartz, age 98, of Faribault and formerly of Morristown, died on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at District One Hospital, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held at Peace United Methodist Church, Morristown, on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Elden Eklund officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Morristown.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Betty was born August 7, 1921 to August and Tressa (O'Leary) Aberle in Waterville. She graduated from the Waterville Public School in 1939. After graduation, she worked at the Minnesota Community Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and later in the business office. On January 9, 1946, she married Louis Schwartz of Morristown at the Methodist church in Waterville. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1998. Betty and her husband owned and operated the Schwartz Produce and Hatchery for 25 years until selling it in 1970. After selling the store, Betty went to work at the Faribault State Hospital as a payroll clerk and then in Personnel and worked there for 15 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Morristown, where she held different offices and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Faribault.
She is survived by one daughter, Tamara (and Robert) Schwichtenberg of Morristown; one son, Bradley (and Annette) Schwartz of Faribault; five grandchildren, Paula Meskan of Waterville, Robert, Jr. (and Jessica) Schwichtenberg of Morristown, Jodi (and Scott) Alwin of Oak Creek, WI, Heidi (and Josh) Janovsky of Faribault and Eric Schwartz (and special friend, Erin Brown) of Chicago, IL; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Dannenfelzer and Irene Schwartz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; two great grandchildren; one sister in law Frances (and Elmer) Stapher; and two brothers in law, Bill Flood and Bill Dannenfelzer.
