Brian Richard Lueck., 45
Brian Richard Lueck, age 46 of Elysian passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born on September 20, 1971 in Mankato, Minnesota, Brian was the son of Richard and Audrey (Weigt) Lueck. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. Brian graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School and went on to earn various degrees at Minnesota State University-Mankato in Engineering and Computer Information Systems. Brian worked at the MN Dept. of Transportation in Mankato as the Soils Auger Crew Chief. Brian married Jolene Schnoor on November 3, 2001. They shared a beautiful marriage for 17 years. Brian will be incredibly missed by his beloved dogs, Jersey Girl and Chester Roo. He had a love for them that was immeasurable. Brian was an extremely passionate sports fan who loved his Minnesota Vikings – win or lose. He was an outstanding athlete who enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball and softball. Later in life, he turned his love to fishing and fished competitively. Brian is survived by his wife, Jolene Lueck of Elysian; parents, Richard and Audrey Lueck of Mankato; siblings, Dawn (Greg) Rausch of Minnetonka and Nathan (Carrie) Lueck of Prior Lake; and many beloved nieces and nephews which included two godchildren, Owen Rausch and Joshua Bosacker whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Marie Weigt and paternal grandparents, Leslie and Marie Lueck and his beloved Golden Lab, Murry Tucker. Brian leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. We are grateful for each and every day we got to see his glowing smile and for the legacy of love and integrity towards all that knew him. Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.
