Harold Pemble, 80

Harold Pemble passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at age 80.  He was born July 1, 1939 to Harry and Catherine Pemble.  Harold married the love of his life, Virginia Petersen, on October 20, 1962.  He proudly served in the United States Army.

Harold had a unique career.  He proudly held a nuclear regulatory license and worked in the operations at Prairie Island Nuclear Plant in Red Wing, MN.  He thoroughly enjoyed working with his team and generating electricity with nuclear power.  In his retirement, Harold moved to Wisconsin to be close to his children and grandchildren.  He was an avid gardener and was famous for his sweet corn and apples.  He volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Harold is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Virginia; three daughters, Denise (Mike) Everson, Evon Creger, Lynn (Barry) Grimm, seven grandchildren, Claire and Ben Everson, Nathan DeStefano, Katelyn & Ave Creger, Monica & Max Grimm; two brothers, Mark and Jim Pemble; two sisters, Victoria Johnson and Karen Gohla, and many other relatives and friends.  Preceding Harold in death were his parents, a daughter, Mary; brothers David, Philip and Larry Pemble; and sisters Mary Jo Nikoley, Harriett Hager and Charlotte Blaschko.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Father Jorge Miramontes officiating.  Donations would be appreciated to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
