Lorraine Catherine Wermerskirchen, age 95 died peacefully on August 7, 2019 at Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Shakopee.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 16th  at 11am with visitation from 9:30-11am all at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband Frances at Calvary Cemetery in Jordan.

Benjamin Cervenka, 82

Benjamin T. Cervenka, age 82, of New Prague, died suddenly on Friday, August 9, 2019 at his home. Ben was born on December 8, 1936 in New Market Township, Scott County, MN to Theodore B. and Helen M. (Stejskal) Cervenka. He attended country school and graduated from New Prague High School. Following high school, he entered the US Army and following his service, he married Dorothy M. Preslicka at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church on July 2, 1960.

Francis J. 'Fritz' Hertaus, 82

Francis J. “Fritz” Hertaus, age 82, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Fritz was born on February 7, 1937 in Wheatland Township, Rice Co., Minnesota to William F. and Elizabeth A. (Marek) Hertaus. He graduated from St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and New Prague High School and attended two years agricultural school at South Central Technical College later, after marriage. Fritz entered the US Navy shortly after high school and served for two years.

Jesse Coghill, 92

Jesse Coghill, lifelong resident of Jordan, passed away at the age of 92. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11AM with a visitation one-hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 313 2nd St. E., Jordan. Jesse will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Jordan. Father Neil Bakker will preside.

Francis Schoenbauer, 89

Francis E. “Frank” Schoenbauer, age 89, of Jordan, died peacefully in the arms of his wife on July 26, 2019 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. Frank was born on March 25, 1930 in Helena Township, Scott County, MN to Frank J. and Mary (Malecha) Schoenbauer. He was raised in the New Prague area, attended farm school, and graduated from New Prague High School. At age 25, he was drafted into the US Army and proudly served in a medical evac corps in Korea and Japan. Frank married the love of his life, Doreen H.

Betty A. Klinghagen, 74

Betty A. Klinghagen, age 74, of New Prague, died suddenly at her home on Thursday, July 25, 2019.  Betty was born on December 15, 1944, in Willmar, MN to George and Anna (Hanson) Vikse.  She was raised in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School.  She married the love of her life, Earl J.

Phyllis Mannie, 89

Phyllis Mannie, age 89 of Jordan, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 starting at 4:00PM with a Liturgy of the Word at 6:30PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 104 First St. West, Jordan, MN.
Father Neil Bakker will preside. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Belle Plaine.

Sylvia Turbett, 80

Sylvia Turbett, age 80, of Gaylord passed away July 15, 2019, at The Lutheran Home of Belle Plaine in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. Memorial Service was held on Friday, July 19, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at the United Church of Christ in Gaylord with interment in Ferguson Cemetery, rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota, at a later date.

Violet Patterson, 85

Violet Mae Patterson, age 85, of rural New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, July 12, 2019, at her home. Vi was born on March 12, 1934 in Freeborn County, MN to Harry and Rose (Rebelien) Fink. She graduated from Albert Lea High School and shortly after graduation, married John Patterson at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. They lived for a short time in Albert Lea and moved frequently before settling at their beloved farm in Derrynane Township in 1969.

Ludmilla (Ludy) Korbel, 88

Ludmilla (Ludy) Korbel, 88, of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be in St. Wencelsaus Cemetery in New Prague.
Ludmilla was born in New Prague on December 6, 1930, to Edward and Elizabeth (Minar) Korbel. She attended country school in rural New Prague and later graduated from New Prague High School.
