William Floyd “Bill” Hix, age 90, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Military Honor Guard.

In loving memory of Rose Mary (Miska) Franta, age 85, who peacefully embarked on her final journey, reuniting with her beloved husband Scott on January 17, 2024. Born on August 22, 1938, in New Prague, Rosie's roots ran deep on the family farm near Saint Thomas where she blossomed into the remarkable woman we all knew.

Ruth Helen Gaul, age 88, of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Central Health Care in Le Center, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. On December 26, 2023, Sandra Ann (Jakes) Sticha, 71, passed away at her home in Florida.  Sandy was born September 8, 1952, in New Prague, Minnesota, to Marvin and Irene (Spoor) Jakes.
Sandy is survived by her two children; Daniel (Roni) Jakes of Florida and Jill (Katie Bastyr) Sticha of Montgomery, MN.  Sandy has four grandchildren, Cora, Jeremiah, Danielle, and Joshua and 8 (soon 9) great-grandchildren. 

Diana Mary Turek, age 65, of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Daniel Michael Borchardt, age 57, of Montgomery passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, all at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center, MN, with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Le Center, MN.

Kyle Daniel Clark, age 39, of Montgomery, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  Kyle was born on January 10, 1984, in Minneapolis to Kevin D. and Gail J. (Schneider) Clark.  He grew up in Lonsdale and graduated from Montgomery High School.  He continued his education in the electrical curriculum at Minnesota West Community & Technical College in Jackson to get his Associate Arts Degree.  He  went to Denver, Colorado, to further his education towards his journeyman license.  

Caroline Bessie Trcka, age 92, of Montgomery, died on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Mala Strana in New Prague. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, from 9:30-11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Fr. George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
