Blanche Havel Zellmer, 99-3/4

Blanche Havel Zellmer, age 99-3/4, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at The Emeralds of Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father George Grafsky officiating.
Celebration of Life will follow from noon to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Club in Montgomery. Private family burial will be held in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. John’s Cemetery.

Eleanor A. “Ellie” Sirek, 82

Eleanor A. “Ellie” Sirek, age 82, of Elko, entered eternal life on Saturday, November 13 as a result of complications from Covid-19 at Northfield Hospital. Ellie was born on February 21, 1939 in Wheatland Township to Emil and Anna Svoboda. She was born prematurely and fondly told the story about her parents putting her in a bread pan on the oven door to keep her warm. As an only child, she grew up on the family farm where she resided for her entire life.

Agnes Koubele, 96

Agnes Koubele was born on the Frank Koubele family farm in Montgomery on January 20, 1925.  She attended District 18, St. Rafael Catholic School and graduated from Montgomery High School in the class of 1942.  She moved to Chicago, IL and worked at Montgomery Ward, the US Post Office and the National Park Service as a secretary.  
She married Edward Zellmer, Jr. on November 9, 1946, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Chicago. Shortly after their marriage his health began to fail, and in March 1947 they returned to Montgomery. 

Patricia A. “Patty” Sirek, 60

Patricia A. “Patty” Sirek, age 60, of Elko, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 as a result of complications of Covid-19 at Northfield Hospital.   Patty was born on January 27, 1961 in New Prague to Richard F. and Eleanor A.

Bruce David Heyda, 55

Bruce David Heyda, 55, of Montgomery, died on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating, with visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Church.
Interment will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Veterans Honor Guard.

Linda Jean Walton, 81

Linda J. Walton of Montgomery was called home on October 21 at the age of 81. There will be a Celebration of Life for Linda on Saturday, October 30th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a prayer and song service at 1:00 p.m., in the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church basement in Montgomery.

Katie Trnka, 91

Katie Trnka, 91, of Montgomery, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at Merrywood Senior Homecare in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1 p.m. with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Katie was born on January 30, 1930, in Cordova to John and Martha (Cemensky) Trzecinski. She attended St. Mary’s Parochial School in Le Center.

Kenneth(Ken) J. Mares, 61

Kenneth(Ken) J. Mares, age 61 of Lakeville, passed away on Oct. 10, 2021.  Ken was preceded in death by his loving parents Myles & Dorothy.  He is survived by his sisters Patty Simberg, Rita (Jack) Molumby and his brother Larry.
Per Ken’s wishes he will be cremated and interred with our parents.  Our brother was an uncomplicated man with a heart of gold.  He was loved and we will miss him.  Per his wishes there will be no memorial observance.  We want to thank those who supported us on this journey.  It is appreciated. 

Janet Marie Pan, 75

Janet Marie Pan, 75, of Montgomery, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Health System, New Prague. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be held in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Perry Caspers, 67

Perry Caspers was born September 2, 1954 to Donald W. and Druzella (Rekkedahl) Caspers in Olivia, MN.  He died from complications of thrombocytopenia and pancreatic cancer on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Crosby Hospital in Crosby, MN.
