Eileen Dolores Burns, age 87, died of natural causes on November 04, 2021, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Blanche Havel Zellmer, age 99-3/4, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at The Emeralds of Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father George Grafsky officiating.
Celebration of Life will follow from noon to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Club in Montgomery. Private family burial will be held in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. John’s Cemetery.

Mary Alice Bastyr, age 77, of Prior Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at St. Gertrude’s in Shakopee.  Mary was born on December 6, 1943, in Veseli, Wheatland Township, Minnesota, to Guy and Anna S. (Simon) Novak.  She attended Most Holy Trinity School in Veseli, and married Edward M. Bastyr on December 29, 1958, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Veseli.

Dolores Tuma, age 93 of Northfield, passed away Saturday evening, November 6, 2021, at Three Links Care Center.

Donald F. Geiger, age 87, of New Prague, died suddenly at his home with his wife at his side on Saturday, November 6, 2021.  Don was born on July 10, 1934 in Jordan to Elmer H. and Alvina M. (Peters) Geiger.  He attended St. Joseph Parochial School and grew up on the family farm.  He married the love of his life, Dorothy M.

Delia Leahy, age 84 of Webster, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday evening, November 4, 2021, at The Villages of Lonsdale.

Gary L. Kohoutek, age 71, of New Prague, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Gary was born on July 3, 1950 in New Prague to Walter W. and Georgean (Pauly) Kohoutek. He attended St. Wenceslaus School and graduated from New Prague High School. Gary met and married the love of his life, Judy A. Mahowald in Minneapolis on November 8, 1968. Settling in New Prague, Gary, opened New Prague Auto Repair, which he currently owned and operated along with Judy.

Patricia A. “Patty” Sirek, age 60, of Elko, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 as a result of complications of Covid-19 at Northfield Hospital.   Patty was born on January 27, 1961 in New Prague to Richard F. and Eleanor A.

Dorothy Adeline Jirik-Moore, 95, of New Prague, Minnesota died peacefully on November 4, 2021 at the Praha Village in New Prague.  Dorothy will be buried at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery of New Prague, MN.

Marvin J. ‘Marv’ Novotny, 72 of Houston, TX (formerly) of New Prague, MN, passed away on Tues. Aug. 24, 2021. Marv was born Oct. 31st 1948 in New Prague to Louis & Helen (Bartusek) Novotny.  He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from New Prague High School Class of 1966. 

Jeffrey Scott Jewett, 2/27/1968 – 10/31/2021
Jeff was born on February 27, 1968 to Dave and Peggy (Murphy) Jewett.  He graduated from Rosemount High School, and Mankato State University.  Jeff grew up in Valley Park, a neighborhood in Lakeville, and lived in Lonsdale and Rochester before moving to Farmington.

Erickson, Gary, age 71 of Elko-New Market, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on October 31, 2021. Preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Mildred. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Margaret; children, Josh Erickson (Kim Mooney) and Jessica Erickson (Jarvis Dotson); grandchildren, Arriana, Nalani, and JayCeon and also by Kim’s children, Kendall and Ainsley Rook; sister, LaVonne Erickson; also by many other family and friends.

Peggy Ann Olson, 74, of New Prague, MN died peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 surrounded by beloved family and caregivers, thus ending a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, of 53 years; children, Josh (Michelle) Olson of Jacksonville, FL, Luana (Mark) Ciccarelli and granddaughter Madeline of St.

Kathryn J. Grassmann, age 74, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her home peacefully surrounded by her family after a 20 year battle with cancer. Scot Ben Cervenka, age 58, of Askov, MN formerly of New Prague passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2021.

Paul A. Yackley, age 76, of St. Paul, MN (formerly New Prague) passed away on the 20th, of October 2021 at his home in St. Paul.
Paul was born on August 23rd, 1945, the son of James P. and Loretta M. (Seifert) Yackley in Davenport, IA. He attended the St. Mary’s Mission Seminary, Techny, Il, from 1960-1961. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1963.
