Janice Caroline (Huss) Neisen, age 93 of Shakopee, MN, passed away at home on Sunday, May 9, 2021, with family at her side.

Leonard A. Meger, 89 passed away May 8, 2021 at his home in Faribault.
Leonard Anthony Meger was born October 2, 1931 the son of John D. and Veronica (Schippret) Meger. Leonard attended country school in Derrynane Township, rural Le Sueur County and attended New Prague High School. On August 26, 1953 he was united in marriage to Theresa Wagner at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in New Market.
Leonard was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge.
George L. Novak, age 94, of Veseli, died on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital, Mankato. George was born in Wheatland Township, Rice County, Minnesota on March 1, 1927 to Ladislav J. "Laddy" and Anna A. (Pavek) Novak. He grew up on the family farm in Veseli and attended Most Holy Trinity Catholic School.
He served in the US Army during WWII.
Ronnie M. Wieland, age 58, of Le Center, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from complications of cancer. Ronnie was born on June 12, 1962 in New Prague to Martin F. and Adeline C. (Unger) Wieland. He graduated from New Prague High School and went on to Foley Bel-Saw in Kansas to attain his small engine repair degree. Ronnie worked for Ace Hardware for 15 years in New Prague as their best lawn mower repairman and was the owner/operator of Tay Tay Transport, LLC. He married his soul mate, Wendy R.
Marian Edna Sindelar, age 87, of Prior Lake, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Emerald Crest Memory Care, in Shakopee, MN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 14 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 5634 Luther Road SE, Prior Lake. Pastor Greg DeMuth will preside. Pall bearers will be Matthew Sindelar, Micah Sindelar, David Oldenburg, and Mark Oldenburg. Marian will be laid to rest at a private family ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls, MN.
Clayton “Cookie” George Kukacka, age 84, of Owatonna, formerly of New Prague, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Medford at his daughter Deb’s home.
Visitation will take place Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 9 to 11 a.m. with a Memorial Service following at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery. Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Honor Guard.
Placidus Henry “PH” Wick, entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Ridgeview Medical Center, in Waconia, MN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00 am, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 313 Second Street East, Jordan. Guests may arrive after 10:30 am. Father Neil Bakker will preside. The Jordan Vets Honor Guard will provide military honors. PH will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are preferred and will be distributed in his memory, by the family.
Albert P. Zweber, age 91, of rural Lakeville, died peacefully at his home with his family at his side on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rynda, age 90, of New Prague, died peacefully at home with her family present on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Betty was born on October 15, 1930 in Lonsdale to Myles and Elizabeth (Herda) Jasan.
She attended elementary school in Lonsdale, graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, and attained her R.N. degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
She married Ralph A. Rynda on November 17, 1953 in Lonsdale and the couple made their home in New Prague where they raised their 3 daughters.
Mayme Lucille (Dejcmar) Jindra, age 105 years 10 months and 6 days, passed away peacefully at her home in Montgomery on October 19, 2020. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. The Funeral Service in celebration of her life will also be held at the Church starting at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating.
Dolores Gertrude (Eischens) Wagner passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 18th, 2021. She was born October 8th, 1925, in New Prague, the 9th of 12 children of John and Mary Eischens. She grew up on the family farm, where she recalled milking cows in the morning before attending a country grade school where her teacher was also her sister. Following high school graduation she completed her education at Saint Catherine's School of Nursing in Saint Paul, becoming a registered nurse. She went on to work in the Pediatrics Department of Saint Mary's Hospital, Minneapolis.
Jean E. (Matko) Gelhar, 77 of Mcgregor died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 6, 1944 in Saint Paul to Joe and Marcella (Koppen) Matko. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1962. Jean was united in marriage to Dennis D.
Carol Jean (Erkel) Svoboda, 85, of Le Center, passed away on April 16, 2021, at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague with family by her side.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with Pastor Jason Pollington, officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
Interment will be held in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Lawrence “Larry” F. Ruehling passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021 at Benedictine Living Community in Owatonna.
He was born on January 30, 1923, at home in Helena Township, Scott County, the son of August Karl and Elisa (Bohnsack) Ruehling. Larry lived on the home farm and attended rural school district #50 and graduated in 1940 from New Prague High School.
Larry moved to Owatonna in January of 1942 and worked for the Borden company. It is also where he met his future wife, Ruth Pichner. They were married in January of 1944.
